What lead you to Pilates?
I always loved sports and when I moved to Los Angeles I wanted to experience something new. I was lucky to have a Pilates studio right across the street. After only a few sessions I started to feel different, my posture was better, my flexibility and concentration improved. I found the piece that was missing from my workout routine!
When did you start teaching here at CPB?
I started teaching at CPB right after I finished my Pilates Technique Certification Program. I’ve been teaching for two years and I love every second!
What is your favorite Pilates exercise?
It’s hard to choose only one! I love the Teaser because it’s such a complex exercise which requires all the pilates principles: strength, flexibility, control and balance. It makes you feel strong and light! If the Teaser is good I know is going to be a good day.
What might you say is your specialty in the wide array of areas we teach in?
(ie: Prenatal, injuries, etc.)
Being a runner myself I know the importance of Pilates in preventing injuries and enhancing athletic performance. Pilates movements allow athletes to improve their overall condition and deepen their mind- body connection.
What is your favorite exercise to do outside the studio?
I love running outside, it’s my form of meditation. After a stressful day I get out and clear my mind.
What is the best thing about being a Pilates instructor?
Being from a foreign country the best part of being a Pilates teacher is the relationship I get to have with my clients. I love gaining their trust and seeing their life change through movement.
What are your hobbies/passion/business outside of the studio?
I love to travel and explore the world. My goal is to see a new place every year.
What days and hours are you available at Classic Pilates Body?
My schedule at CPB is from Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Thanks for letting us get to know you a little better, Diana!
